Admissions Policy: Kindergarten through 12th Grade
|
New Covenant Christian School was founded
in 1982 on Anabaptist beliefs by families from local Mennonite and
Brethren congregations. The founders and current overseers of the
school request that students/families enrolling in NCCS respect
and support the tenets of the "historic peace churches", but
they need not be members of those churches. For further clarification, please click on the Anabaptist Essentials tab at the top of the
page to reference the tenets
developed by the pastoral advisors of NCCS.
Enrollment is open to any student without regard to denomination,
race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
At least one parent must
be a professing Christian (salvation is by grace through faith
in Jesus Christ as Lord - Ephesians 2:8-9), a member or
committed regular attender of a local congregation, and exemplify a
life of faith and loyalty to the Word of God. |

Age
guidelines: Students applying for Kindergarten must be five (5) years
old on or before September 15th and/or must have reached a development
age of five (5) as indicated by the school's readiness testing
program.
Placement
of other incoming students in the proper grade will be determined on
the basis of previously transferred records and/or the use of
standardized testing.
To be
enrolled at NCCS, the student must show evidence of a sufficiently
positive record of discipline and/or social and emotional adjustment.
NCCS
makes an attempt to meet the special educational needs of the child.
Remedial reading and math help are available through the services of
the Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13. At the present time, we
have no other resources to aid the child whose educational needs
cannot be met in the traditional classroom setting. Careful review of
a student's needs will be made with the view of being assured we can
serve those needs adequately.

for admission should be directed to:
