New
Covenant is a private, association-run Christian school that
serves nearly 200 students from pre-school through twelfth
grade. Originally formed as a school serving kindergarten
through eighth grade students, the school embarked upon the
addition of a high school during the 1998-99 school year. The
school graduated its first high school class in June
2002.
Staffed by nurturing, dedicated
teachers, NCCS has a faculty-to-student ratio of
one-to-twelve in the middle school / high school and
one-to-twelve in the elementary school. Students are taught
in traditional classroom settings, but in the high school,
opportunities are available for computer assisted
instruction, independent study, community service, short-term
missions work, work-release, vocational-technical education,
early-college enrollment. The school offers growing programs
in ministry team (music and drama), music, art and
sports.
New Covenant
Christian School holds membership in the following
organizations: Mennonite Secondary Education Council,
Association of Christian Schools International and Lancaster
Area Council of Mennonite Schools. The school also belongs to
the Mid-Atlantic Christian School Association.
