Middle School Music

In fifth grade they are give the option to try one of the different types: Sopranino, Alto, Tenor, or Bass. With the various voicings they are able to play harmony furthering our student's musicianship. Other instruments our Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Grade students learn is the harmonica and tone chimes. Also during these grades they are part of the Middle School Chorus, in this group we work on Unison as well as two part songs.

Starting in 2007-2008 we offered a new opportunity to our Eighth Grade students. After all the years of playing the recorder we changed it up a bit. This class is built around learning the guitar. In 2008 we were able to purchase 5 Squire electric guitars for student use. This has been well accepted by our students and enthusiasm is high.
